The accolade recognizes Gruver's 17-year dedication to sustainable agriculture, marked by his active involvement in PFI, presentations at their conferences, and hosting fellow farmers at WIU/Allison Farm.
Gruver's commitment to education and innovation, particularly in cover crop experimentation, stands out. His role in the PFI email listserv, sharing insights and research results, further highlights his generosity in disseminating knowledge.
