Wednesday, November 22, 2023 By Andi Anderson University of Illinois Extension will be participating in the Greater Peoria Farm Show, Illinois' largest indoor farm show, from November 28-30. Extension staff will be on-site to meet with attendees, share harvest stories, and provide the latest news and resources from across the state. Extension Assistant Dean and Agriculture and Agribusiness Program Leader Travis Burke emphasizes the importance of connecting with Illinois farmers and using research to improve the industry. Show attendees will have the opportunity to discuss today's agriculture and horticulture hot topics with Extension experts. Topics covered will include farm leasing, grain marketing, farm estate planning, soil fertility, farm drainage, digital technology, variety selection, fertility programs, technology's impact on agriculture, and horticulture programs. Illinois Extension educators and specialists will be available for media interviews during show hours. The Greater Peoria Farm Show is a great opportunity to learn about the latest advances in agriculture and horticulture from University of Illinois Extension experts.
