Over $210K in Scholarships for Ag Students

Over $210K in Scholarships for Ag Students

By Andi Anderson

Over $210,000 in scholarships are being offered to students pursuing agriculture-related degrees. These scholarships aim to support future leaders in the field by easing their financial burden and helping them focus on their education.

The scholarships are available to agriculture students and members of a recognized farm organization, including their spouses and children. A total of 120 scholarships, ranging from $1,000 to $7,500, will be distributed for the 2025-26 academic year.

New scholarships have been introduced this year, including one in memory of Charles B. Shuman for students in a specific county and another honoring Wilbert and Carol Keppy for members of a pork producers' association. Additionally, scholarships are available through partnerships with organizations like Prairie Farms Dairy, along with family-funded scholarships established to continue legacies.

Selection criteria include academic achievements, leadership roles, extracurricular involvement, community service, and a personal essay. Previous recipients of these scholarships may reapply if they meet the specific eligibility requirements.

A complete list of scholarships, along with eligibility guidelines, can be found on the official foundation website. Applications must be submitted online by February 15. Those interested can seek further details through their local farm organization or contact the scholarship coordinator via phone or email.

This initiative reflects the foundation’s commitment to advancing education and supporting the next generation of agriculture professionals.
