Wheat, Soybean Inspections Drive Up Total by Nearly 10%
USAgNet - 08/09/2022

Total U.S. grains inspected for export increased for the second consecutive week on the strength of wheat and soybean exports, according to today's Grains Inspected and/or Weighed for Export report by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

Wheat inspections doubled to 604,000 metric tons for the week ending Aug. 4 when compared to the previous week, and soybean inspections grew nearly 46% week-to-week to 867,500 metric tons.

That pushed up total grains inspected by nearly 10% to more than 2 million metric tons (MMT), despite decreases in inspections of corn and sorghum.
