Fair Tours Offer Entertaining Glimpse at Illinois Ag
Illinois Ag Connection - 08/14/2019

The Illinois Department of Agriculture (IDOA) is offering fairgoers an opportunity to learn more about the importance of agriculture through free daily Ag Tours during the Illinois State Fair.

The tours operating daily at 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. from the IDOA tent have become a celebrated part of the fair combining an enjoyable mix of information and entertainment. A guided ride offers interesting facts from the fastest tracked speed of a race horse to how dedicated Future Farmers of America work to secure our prosperous agricultural future.

"We hope fairgoers enjoy the entertainment, carnival rides and food at the fair, but also hope they take some time to appreciate the main purpose of it - to celebrate the agricultural community," said Kevin Gordon Illinois State Fair Director. "Ag Tours provide a valuable opportunity to learn more about our states' number one industry."
