Illinois Ag Connection - 01/16/2020

Western Illinois University's Quad Cities campus will host a series of presentations, films and panels from 5-6 p.m. each Wednesday night during the Spring 2020 semester. This series will focus on informative topics in relation to Earth Day. The public is invited to attend.

The January schedule for the series continues with:

Jan. 22 - A presentation on Pratt Ranch; "How to Enjoy the Good Life Off the Grid," in the Quad Cities Complex Building C

Jan. 29 -- "From Tree Cults to Deforestation; Environmental Disasters in the Middle Ages," in the Quad Cities Complex Building C Atrium

- Along with this series, the public is also encouraged to explore two displays featured on campus. The first display is a physical and virtual display of the 2019 Mississippi River flood. The display provides information about the flood and visual representation of exactly how destructive the flood was. The display is located in the Quad Cities Complex Building C Atrium.

The second display is an eagle watching station, where visitors can learn facts about eagle's migration to the Mississippi River during the winter months, in the Sky Bridge between QC Complex Building A and QC Complex Building B.
