DCHA Annual Conference to be Held Virtually
USAgNet - 03/26/2020
Another farm organization is taking advantage of technology and converting its upcoming annual conference into a live web-based forum. The Dairy Calf and Heifer Association will stream its annual event April 8-9 after its in-person event was canceled due to
the COVID-19 pandemic.
"While the virtual format isn't our first choice for DCHA's annual conference, it provides the next-best option that will still foster valuable learning and interaction between speakers and participants," said DCHA Member Services Director Sue Schatz. "These
unprecedented times call for creative learning and experience sharing venues."
Some of the topics during the program include new passive transfer standards for dairy calves, understanding the innate immune response, managing dairy and beef crossbred cattle, the dairy industry's collaboration on animal care, and effective animal handling
techniques.
