Administration Hits Record-Low of New Regulations in 2019
USAgNet - 01/16/2020

The Federal Register published a total of 2,964 final rules in 2019, making it the lowest number of new regulations on record since the government began tracking in 1975, according to the Competitive Enterprise Institute.

The Trump Administration has led all three of the years with the lowest number of new regulations, and some of the final new rules published in order to update or repeal other rules.

"Restoring common sense to Environmental Protection Agency regulations has been one of the key achievement areas of this administration," says ARA President and CEO Daren Coppock.
